Running Accomplishments:

As of yet I have NONE!  Though I have done a few 5k, 3k, and 10k walks.

Short-Term Running Goals:

In the next two years I'd like to be able to get in 5 miles five days a week.  I'd like to participate in a 10K run and actually run the whole thing.  I'd also like to participate in the Danskin Triatholon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Just working right now on the short term. I'd be happy right now to say I am a runner.

Personal:

As far as personal facts, nothing too exciting about me. I am a mother of four kids, love to blog about them and my personal feelings, which you can find me at 4kidsnodog.blogspot.com.  I am married.  I have a degree in education but haven't done any professional teaching in a long time.

first night "running" took an hour.

I ran 6.0 miles on elliptical in 58 minutes.

ran 7.0 miles on the elipitcal and then ran another 1.12 miles on the tread mill. Made the 7 miles in 60.34

30 minutes of Active ii on the wii...

This is what I would call my first official run...I actually jogged (5.4) on the tread mill for 40 minutes, made my 3 miles in just a little over 35 minutes.

A burn of 400 calories and 32.35 4 mile ellipitcal run, able to keep at 7.1 average. Just amazed at how much and how far I have come since starting a few weeks ago. I think I just might be able to do this 1/2 in June!

Had a rough morning, got up and decided to head  out side instead of doing my typical morning routine of the wii active. I dont          think i Stretched enough or warmed up well enough for the 20 degrees outside.  I hit a pot hole or uneven slope on the  road and jarred my knee.....so much for running right now. lying in bed, icing my knee...kind of stinks....was running avg of 5.9 for awhile until my knee got tweaked...

Did a decent jog on the elliptical. not as fast as I have before but after Friday I had to take it easy.

did 6.55 in 60 minutes then went another 5 minutes to get to 7 and then cooled off for 5 for a total of 70 minutes.

tried a little outside run, not sure what I did to my knee last week, I ran 1.5 miles at a 7.2 pace...not too bad, but my knee is killing me now. 

 

also back doing my wii active 9 week cardio circuit training, its starting to get more intense now. liking it a lot, did a ton of squats, quads a little sore. did 29 minutes.

My knee had been bothering off and on all week but was able to walk, so I decided to run on the tread mill. Got on did the first 1 mile at 6.0 pace and felt great. Decided to pump it up to 6.5 at about 1.25 miles felt like someone took a bat to my knee and waked it, my knee buckeled and I lowered the speed down to 2.0 and walked it out for a bit. Tried to bring it up higher but couldnt. Finished my 3.0 in 45 minutes. probably should of gotten off and went home.

after almost a month off of my leg, torn my lateral ligament, I did a 1.5 on the eliptical, took me 18 minutes, did first mile in 10:54...then the other half in 8 minutes...movement is better than nothing right? then I did 30 minutes of circuit training.
